WINIFRED
Winifred
was built in Seattle by the Lake Union Drydock Company for Adolph
Schmidt. Below the waterline she is planked with Alaskan Yellow
Cedar and the pilothouse is solid Burmese Teak. Cost new in 1926
was $7125. Winifred was instrumental in the initiation of a race
that is credited with bringing predicted log racing to the yacht
world.
